Several Lensbaby employees recently took a field trip to Sauvie Island, a Manhattan-sized island just north of Portland comprised of farms, public beaches, and protected wildlife lands. If you're looking for that perfect wide angle macro lens shot, then take a look at some favorite shots from our field trip below!
The Pumpkin Patch, our destination, offers everything from a huge corn maze to a farmer's market to U-pick veggies & fruit. Armed with the contents of the Lensbaby Accessory Kit we explored & photographed the farm. All accessories in the kit work with the Double Glass Optic and any of our other 37mm threaded optics, installed in any Lensbaby body.

Above, the same scene is photographed with the Telephoto and then the Wide Angle accessory lenses (which simply screw into the front of the Double Glass Optic), to illustrate the difference in focal lengths. If you want a bit of a closer view of a scene, try the Telephoto. To widen your field of view and get more in your frame, try the Wide Angle.

The Macro Kit, comprised of 2 filters which easily screw onto the front of the Double Glass Optic, makes for some great close-up photo opportunities. For ease of focusing, try moving your body closer and further from the subject to find focus. Once you've found the range, then fine tune by rotating the focus ring on your Lensbaby.

Sometimes when shooting Lensbaby macro photography, taste testing your subject, as with the blueberries above, is highly recommended.
The Macro Kit enables you to capture eye-popping detail, from 13 inches away from your subject all the way down to 2 inches, when both filters are stacked together.

It's a little-known fact that many Lensbaby employees are also super heroes, accentuated here by the added closeness of the Telephoto accessory lens.

The Double Glass Optic, with or without accessories attached, is a great way to direct your viewer's eye to a specific part of a photo.

Using the Wide Angle macro lens on the Double Glass Optic helps you fit more into a scene - the entirety of the barn, left, and both a peach in the foreground and the sky way beyond, at right.

Try fun combinations - like the Wide Angle accessory lens with the Macro Kit to get both wide and close.

The Creative Aperture Kit comes with 9 different shaped apertures. The shapes in the apertures will appear in any bright point of light, and/or when light is filtering through something like leaves, below, or through hay, above - creating everything from clear shapes to a more subtle texture.
