Jacki’s love for photography and nature began as a young child when her father gave her her first camera, a Konica 35mm film camera. She carried that deep interest into high school and college where she mastered developing and printing her own images in the darkroom.

Jacki’s passion for photography was rekindled when she purchased her first DSLR in 2013. She has continued to spend her time honing her craft, shooting wildlife and birds, and spending time with nature which continues to bring her the same joy as when she was a child.

Jacki first learned of creative art lenses in 2020 by a company called Lensbaby. Her masterful use of these lenses and accessories allowed her to compose images that have become more creative and playful and in doing so, took on a more expressive and abstract form as she experimented with the various effects she could achieve with their use. She has taught and mastered different camera techniques including multiples in camera, Intentional Camera Movement known as ICM, as well as layering textures into her work. Her work now takes on an almost ethereal feel.

Jacki is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Art Education. She has been an active member of the Lehigh Valley Photography Club since 2017, prior to becoming a Lensbaby Ambassador in 2020. She has continued to achieve further recognition within Lensbaby, being named a Lensbaby Trailblazer and continues to participate in beta-tests of new prototype lenses , share her knowledge and information on her yearly Lensbaby International Photowalks, conducting Lensbaby workshops and as a guest speaker at photography clubs and museums.

Jacki has been recognized and received numerous awards and Best of Show placements in juried exhibitions for her images. Jacki’s work can be viewed and purchased on her website and in person, currently at Art Beat Studio in Emmaus, PA.
