Holly Linton

Holly Linton describes herself as a photography and editing enthusiast, living life one picture at a time. She’s a Jersey Shore Girl at heart but now resides in the mountains of Northeast Tennessee with her retired Army Veteran hubby.

Her interest in photography was always there from a young age but sparked into a full blown addiction in 2011 when Santa delivered a DSLR camera. She explores a variety of genres, favoring scenes that evoke peace and serenity or that bring a smile to her face. Butterflies are her spirit insect and one of her mottos is “an edit a day keeps the doctor away.”

Holly has educated herself using a variety of resources to include completing a 270-hour Professional Photography Certification Course through NYIP, watching DVDs (remember those?) and YouTube videos, reading books, attending workshops and industry conferences, volunteering in a photo club and being active in several online communities. She shares her knowledge on the weekly LumiCast Photography Podcast and does Lensbaby Zoom presentations for photo clubs.

Her love and enthusiasm for the Lensbaby brand over the past 4 years has led to her recent appointment as a Trailblazer. Whether it’s a Velvet, a Sweet, the Twist, an Edge or those fun OMNI filters, Holly feels that using Lensbaby products enhances the healing power of photography. Looking through a viewfinder has never been so enjoyable.

Soft Focus II

the Soft Focus II because it almost brings a joyful tear to my eye when I look through it while taking flower and butterfly pictures. It's just downright beautiful.

Sol 45

It's a combination of a tiltable base, Sweet optic and OMNI wand all in one - that's how I see it. The bokeh and texture it creates is remarkable and with a fixed aperture all you have to do is get your exposure correct and have fun.

OMNI Creative Filter System

The OMNI system because I appreciate the fact I can use them with my traditional lenses and be assured of locking in focus:). To me, using the wands and "filters" is a great way to create something one of a kind. When I twirl the wands and see what is in the viewfinder, it can be very exciting (an excitement only a photographer could understand).
