Lensbaby Unplugged Member of the Week
Interview with Marina Lattanzi
Q: What is your favorite shoot you've ever done?
A: I love shooting self portraits with my lensbaby lenses because of the soft and delicate mood I can achieve.
Q: What inspires you to reach for your camera? How often do you reach for your camera?
Q: What are your favorite Lensbaby Lenses to use in your session?
A: I have a Composer Pro, but my favorite lens is my new Velvet 56. I love that I can explore macro photography now.
Q: How did you hear about Lensbaby, and what encouraged you to purchase a LB lens?
A: On social media.
Q:What was your journey to becoming a photographer like?
A: 5 years ago I bought my first camera with the concern of being able to learn to make good records of my family life. Photography, over time, took control of my life and today not a day goes by without taking my camera. I find photography as a means of expressing myself through art and, at the same time, inspire other artists to grow and believe in their vision.
Q: What is your favorite subject to photograph and how would you describe your photography style?
A: I'm a fine art photographer. I mostly take pictures with my family and artistic self portraits. I'm very creative and love to inspire myself from painters.
Q: What do you love the most about photography?
A: I love everything. I see life through photography. I enjoy preparing my scene, studying the light, thinking purposely the colors. Photography is an amazing art.
Q: What helps you when you're struggling with a creative block?
A: I try to take pressure from me. I focus on shooting anything, I don't stop using my camera. Inspiration finds us working !
Q: Would you consider yourself an adventurous photographer, or do you tend to stay in your comfort zone?
A: I'm a versatile photographer. I can take pictures outdoor, indoor and with studio lighting. That allow me to feel comfort in a great variety of situations.
Q: What else would you like to see from Lensbaby in the future?
A: I would love to find new ways to see light differently, maybe including more colors filters for lenses with patterns included.
