"Shooting wide open gives an other worldliness to the image, especially around water."

-ABOUT JOE-

http://www.joeporter.photography/

Joe is a retired nurse with a passion for all things photography, a lifelong passion that he can indulge in now that his family are all grown up and work no longer dominates life. Joe always had a camera, he bought his first SLR on a trip to Canada in 1983 and the combination of travel and photography has been part of life to this day.

Landscape is his preferred genre, photographing the rugged beauty of his native Scotland as well as further afield. But he is also happy working in the studio and enjoys the interaction that portrait photography brings. Recently he gained a Higher National Diploma in Photography and has recently applied for a place in a degree/honors course.

JOE'S GEAR

"Not everyone gets it though, in this world where sharpness seems to be the benchmark this lens allows you to celebrate."
