This lens is so fun. I adore the velvety feel. I've used it for portraits, some macro (which is brand new to me as a hobbyist and more fun than I ever dreamed!), and even some scenes and landscapes. Such a great purchase, such a fun and versatile lens.

I had the Velvet 85 for sometime and thought I didn't need the V56. Boy was I wrong. I love it more then the 85! The bokeh is just beautiful and I can get in closer to the subject without a an extension tube.
I was pleasantly surprised by this lens. I LOVE it! Especially for taking macro shots. It is a bit of a learning curve with manual focus but so much fun!
