"I was really impressed with the color rendition of the Burnside 35 for still life. I could really use these images straight from the camera."
"For the first time, I could get the look I loved in-camera! I didn't have to bring my images into an editing program to isolate my subject by darkening the edges."
"The beauty of this lens, is that you can go from up close portraiture, to landscape images in an instant."
"There is something magical about using a lens like this to build an image in-camera. "
I love the swirl and vignetting that this lens creates!
As with all the Lensbaby lenses, the Burnside 35 takes some practice (read: playing, experimenting) to find what sort of backgrounds, and what foreground-to-background separation, works best. It's well worth the effort. There's a wide range of effect, capable of evoking a wide range of emotions. Loving it!
I have tried this lens and like its effect. Great lens.
Not only did you all make it so easy to order my lens online, it arrived in 2 days! You all are just amazing with everything that you do. thank you and Happy New Year to you all at Lensbaby.
Wonderful build quality, gives rich color renditions, perfect for subjects from landscapes to still lifes. Effects can be bold or subtle—up to you! Images have a classy and distinctive character!
It's easy to achieve a crisp center focus and a beautiful swirled bokeh that doesn't take away from the subject, and I love, love, love the adjustable vignette. It's pretty perfect for the way I shoot.
This is a lens that you buy to use at a low aperture to get that swirlly bokeh effect. It works! I have gotten amazing shots of stationary objects that look like they are spinning. I love this lens, but for a very narrow purpose.
Great lens and love it’s named after a local rose city street. Wish Lensbaby did some home town photo walks, would love the opportunity to hang with the team and learn from the experts.
Any product that deliberately creates vignettes is (real) OTB thinking. Bravo. :) And a slide ring is genius.
