Welcome to the Lensbaby's Featured Photos of the Week
Street and Landscape Photo Challenge
My City/Hometown Winners Edition!

For Lensbaby's Featured Photos of the Week, we're sharing our favorite photos submitted by the Lensbaby community. This week, we're showcasing the winners of the first round of our Lensbaby Street and Landscape Photo Challenge. The theme for these photos is My City/Hometown.

Included below each photo is a short explanation as to why the photo was chosen.

Absolutely amazing colors and the very subtle edge blur from Twist 60 helps draw the eye to the pier.

Beautiful colors and nice rule of thirds composition, a classic cityscape that the Lensbaby sweet spot brings more interest to by drawing the viewer's eye to a specific spot within the vast cityscape and by framing it with some lovely sweet spot bokeh.

This image gives the viewer a feel for a quiet winter moment in this little town. Twist's subtle edge blur further serves to draw your eye to the church.

We also offered a My City/Hometown bonus challenge-- The Long Way Home-- and below are the bonus challenge winners.

A shot with great leading lines and a nicely placed slice of focus to draw the viewer's eye to the train. The cool color palette also conjures that chilly feel of waiting on a train platform in the winter.

Nice light and the road provides a nice leading line through the image - the Edge 80's slice of focus helps enhance that line.

Great black and white photo drawing the viewer into the photo with a strong foreground subject that pulls you into the background subject, following the slice of focus. A bit of intrigue is added by the writing on the railing.

Find all of the entries by heading over to the Lensbaby Street and Landscape Photo Challenge Flickr Group. Thanks to everyone who participated, and congratulations to the winners!
