"Not only is the Trio 28 lightweight and compact, the most obvious reason for using it for travel is how much punch you get out of 1 piece!"
"I love being able to fade into the environment shooting the Trio. It’s weightless, perfectly wide & provides infinite capabilities with its three pieces of pristine glass. This lens is now a staple in my bag."
"I found that what I captured with Trio on that trip really made me happy. Obviously I love the look this lens creates, but I also find that I am looking at things a bit differently, with a more creative eye."
"Delightfully fun and refreshing to use. "
This is my third Lensbaby Lens - sure it might be new - but it may be my favourite. I shoot a lot of portraits for weddings. I always carry at least two cameras one with a Nifty Fifty and the second with an artistic lens. The benefit of the Trio is I have three art lens - all a dial spin away. It is like carrying four cameras to capture standard and artistic shots.
I was hesitant to get a new product and manual lenses can be cumbersome. This item let me try out the different offerings without having to make a significant commitment. After playing with this I really fell in love with it; it's so compact that it makes for a fun lens to just carry around. It ended up being a gateway as I have picked up two more pieces.
Love the trio 28 lens. I love the various effects-twist, velvet & sweet.
I had preciouy bought the Sol 45 and loved it. My lens collection was missing a 24-28mm and I thought this lens would be perfect because I could get a feel for how the other effects Lensbaby offer look in one lens! I love this and think it just as good for portraits as it is for landscapes. I didn’t see many examples of portraits when looking at the samples. Anyway it super light weight. I use it on my mirrorless camera and it works great. Make sure to find the proper setting on your mirrorless to shoot with it which lens baby tells you in the FAQ.
Easy and so much fun to use
This lens with its 3 different creative effects to choose from is perfect for travel. I have one for Sony E mount, using it primarily on crop sensor and love the results. Recently I obtained a micro 4/3 camera and the first addition to this kit was the Trio 28, resulting in a 56mm focal length. It's perfect for my needs. Be aware though, if you want lot of blur, it won't be so obvious as it is on full frame. I find this lens to be a pleasure to shoot with.
Good afternoon, I sent my request for customs clearance of this cargo, but I have not received an answer yet. Please clarify the situation. Could you send a new order for my RF passport data? To the customs department?
I waited more than 2 months to receive this item. The Velvet and Twist lenses are fantastic with great colors and contrast. My copy of the Sweet lens on the other hand, has super low contrast and very strong warm/magenta tint. I'm able to improve (not fix) it somewhat by shooting in RAW and adjusting the white balance and contrast, but it's nowhere near the quality that I see from the Velvet and Twist lenses. I have contacted support but was told that it's not an issue and it just white balance. Very disappointed to hear this. If I was a JPEG shooter it would be impossible. The Sweet lens is what I've been looking to use the most. Imagine spending quite a lot of money on this product and having to live with the issues and compromise on the quality - sometimes I just get frustrated with the RAW adjustments that I just convert to black and white image. Very disappointed with my Lensbaby purchase experience...
Any chance you can make this lens for Canon EF/EF-S mount?
I wanted to try this Lensbaby out with my Fujifilm mirrorless, as I had an old Lensbaby with my Nikon DSLR gear, and found it a bit of a challenge to use; although I loved the effect, I found it difficult to get the results. This lens is much easier to use, and I liked the different effects one could get, so if I want to buy another, I would know which one I'd want. A good one to get if you are interested in the Lensbaby and are not sure which one suits your style of photography best.
I love that I have the option of using three different Lensbaby effects in one lens! So much fun!
