Social Media Coordinator & Content Producer

The Social Media Coordinator & Content Producer is responsible for writing and executing social media and blog content against a content calendar as governed by Lensbaby’s marketing strategy and voice guide. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and also works closely and takes additional direction from the E-commerce Specialist to ensure that all content lines up with web site and web store goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Write and post monthly content for social media, blog, and email newsletters 
  • Interact & engage with Lensbaby’s consumer base on all active social media networks
  • Manage day-to-day execution of content calendar and eventually contribute to its creation
  • Monitor performance and update metrics (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, press hits, etc) on internal reporting spreadsheet regularly
  • Package content consisting of key press coverage, articles and blog posts into a newsletter for the International Sales Coordinator to share with our international retailers & distributors
  • Manage and feed social content to key international distributors for dissemination to their audiences
  • Execute and manage video script closed caption translations for Lensbaby University
  • Keep up-to-date on relevant photography industry news and understand when/what is appropriate to share with Lensbaby’s social media audience
  • Other related projects as required, including but not limited to writing web and print ad copy

Skills and Experience Integral to the Job

  • Minimum two years of experience writing and executing social media and blog content
  • A rock-solid understanding of social media and knowledge of latest best practices – with a track record of executing successfully against client’s metrics goals
  • Proficiency and experience in crafting and posting content across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube, Snapchat, Reddit, Medium, Boredpanda, Stumble, Tumblr
  • Stellar writing and editing skills with the ability to write to voice
  • Ability and comfort level to interview photographers/videographers via email, phone, Facetime, etc.
  • Proficient in reporting via Google Analytics, along with Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. insight tools
  • An understanding, interest in and appreciation of photography and/or visual arts
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • A self-motivated nature and ability to take a project and run with it to completion, while also being comfortable working in a small team collaborative environment

Open Position:
Accounting Manager- Contract

Job Summary:
Oversee and manage accounting activities to ensure they adhere to standard accounting methods. This part time/contract role is responsible for prepare the month end review and closing processes, prepare monthly variance reports comparing actual to budget and year ago, preparing annual budget, and overseeing the factoring process with our lending facility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare month end review and preliminary financial statements
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Reconcile balance sheet
  • Review income statement and make appropriate changes based on management direction
  • Basic Journal Entries at month end close
  • Prepare report comparing actual report to budget and year ago
  • Review COGS and note any unusual variances and impact on Gross Margin
  • Review sales adjustments and credit memos to ensure they meet existing policies
  • Prepare annual budget
  • Manage and execute the process with our lending facility to ensure invoices are being properly factored, and track the expenses and fees related to these transactions
  • Review and modify accounting procedures as needed
  • Provide support and back up for Bookkeeper including: 1099 preparation, fixed asset and depreciation schedule, provide back up when Bookkeeper is out of office as required
  • Review and make adjustment to inventory valuation with management direction
  • Build capitalization tables and amoritization schedules when needed
  • Act as liaison between company and contract CFO
  • Other projects as required

Skills integral to the job:

  • Great organizational skills are necessary to execute responsibilities
  • Strong financial accounting back ground, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution company
  • Familiarity with Quick Books is required
  • Capable of maintaining strong working relationships with other staff
  • Strong reasoning and analytical abilities
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities

Education requirement:

  • Minimum 7 years of financial management experience
  • S. in accounting or a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and training
