Job Title: Part Time Events Coordinator
Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating all of Lensbaby’s industry events. The Events Coordinator collaborates with various internal and external resources to plan, organize and execute successful Lensbaby events. The person in this role utilizes innovative thinking and problem solving along with an open and collaborative communication style. They must be well organized, self-motivated, and enjoy challenges.
Job Responsibilities
- Project coordination of trade shows, promotional, education and various industry events, including (but not limited to): calendaring events, reserving hotels, booking transportation, as well as planning, preparing and arranging shipping of booth(s), products, and all necessary equipment and materials.
- Coordinate with retailers to maximize visits- arranging photo walks, workshops, speaking events, etc
- Coordinate with outside contractors and photographers to work events.
- Document and report on success, issues, trends, etc for the above types of events.
- Manage the demo & workshop program by organizing physical inventory, coordinating shipment, and tracking items on loan until they are received back.
- Monitor & report on workshop instructor coupon code usage & commission, communicate with workshop instructors to determine loaner needs
- Update and manage Lensbaby’s website as it related to workshops, retail events and trade shows.
- Communicate promotional and marketing collateral needs.
- Learn and understand our brand, products, and customer base.
- May attend events.
- Additional duties as required.
Skills & Abilities.
- Must be a self-starter with excellent project coordination abilities.
- Strong organization skills and multitasking abilities are required
- Strong interpersonal and team player skills with an ability to communicate at all levels of an organization both internally and externally.
- Ability to appreciate diverse cultures and international communities.
- Understanding of retail is desired.
- Ability to travel is not required, but is a plus
- Experience with Gmail, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign a plus.
- Photography experience and/or photo industry experience a plus.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum high school or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience coordinating events.
- Photography experience and/or photo industry experience is desired.
Physical Demands of Position
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects. The position requires mobility including the ability to move materials weighing up to 5 pounds on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc. and may infrequently require moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity and coordination are required more than 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as computers and other standard office equipment.

Computer, laptop, keyboard, monitors, projectors, mouse, calculators, printers, and other standard office equipment. Usual office working conditions. The noise level in the work area is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
