Kevin Kubota
Kevin Kubota, of Kubota PhotoDesign Inc., is a wedding and portrait photographer with images that speak to the heart – filled with emotion, joy, intimacy, and impact. Kevin’s studio photographs high-end clients in his home base in Central Oregon, as well as nationwide.
Kevin founded the original Digital Photography Bootcamp®, which consistently sells out – and his single day programs fill the house at private engagements and national photographic conventions. (It was at one of the bootcamps that Craig Strong, inventor of the Lensbaby, was able to test out his new invention).
American Photo Magazine recently named Kevin “One of the Top 10 Wedding Photographers in the World” (March 2007). His wedding and portrait work has been featured in magazines such as Rangefinder, Studio Photography & Design, Popular Photography, and Shutterbug, as well as in photography books such as The Best of Portrait Photography and The Best of Wedding Photojournalism by Bill Hurter. His images have been featured in Nikon advertisements, calendars and trade show displays. Kevin was selected as the #2 Nikon “Legend Behind the Lens” on the Nikon website.
Kevin is also an expert in Adobe Photoshop® and has been a digital/computer educator since 1993. He was one of the first wedding photographers to move completely to digital capture and deliver a high-quality product. With Kubota Image Tools, Kevin has successfully trained thousands of photographers to make the digital transition.
You can also hear him talk about the Lensbaby on our See in a New Way Webcasts.
Kevin’s current book is entitled, Digital Photography Boot Camp: A Guide for Professionals, published by Amherst Media.
