Hi LB shooters,
I need some advice on the settings I should use for shooting Times Square, NYC at night. I will be using manual mode with an Edge 80. Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO??? Will be shooting handheld!
Any information you can share with me would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Michelle

P.S. I will not be using flash

If you can, get a tripod. I think you can get beautifull long exposures at Times Square. Handheld shooting will require a very high ISO, if you want a normal shutterspeed without signs of movement.

If you still want to shoot handheld, try leaning against something and hold the camera as tight as possible. And use the self timer and if possible, lock up the mirror. Those little things can prevent a lot of shaking. Your finger pushing the butting, being the biggest one.

I always shoot hand-held in Times Square and it's normally so bright I don't have any issues.
