Since I have such a hard time seeing anything using the pinhole does anyone have any suggestions on setting up compositions.

mickeyjoe, I take a few shots and move the camera using the test shots until I get the composition I want. I can adjust the exposure at the same time as I do the test shots. With a lot of light the exposure isn't usually a problem as my camera's aperture priority does a decent job.

The zone plate is much brighter....compose using that, then slide the switch over to pinhole to make your shot.
