I tried to share an image but apparently it is too large. I'm sure there is an 'easy enough for a non-technical person' solution to that problem. Could someone please explain it to me?

The forum has a maximum upload size of 2 MB per image.

You should use any photo editing software available (probably something came with your camera?) to shrink the image down so that it's file size is under 2 MB. Try reducing the image to 50% of it's original size, then try uploading again.
