Lensbaby

so...
I took a trip yesterday's morning to look for a widening conversion lens that will give me the least of vignetting on FF.
Using my trusty Nikon F5 and the Lensbaby composer pro + the Step-up/Shader ring and looked for the ultimate widening conversion lens.

Tested the Lensbaby X0.42 and the X0.6
Kenko x0.43 37mm thread
Kenko x0.7 52mm thread

and finely i ended up with the Kenko x0.55 52mm thread.
the sweat spot gets almost to the sides of the frame b4 u c vignetting!!!

The cons are that in aperture less then f4 you lose sharpness but gain a dreamy sensation.

This image was taken with an f5.6 or the heart aperture i dont remember :|.

this conversion lens is rubbish :(
i guess there is no avoiding the 35mm :)

If there is a suitable optic or lens,convrsion optics of the kind you describe,are often only the last way out.
The lensbaby system is obviously optimized to work with their own assecories.
I tried à similar conversion lens,attached to a cokin filter holder on a Carl zeiss 30 mm hasselblad lens,it worked,but the original wide angle lens,fitted to the filter bayonette mount on the 30 mm was better.
