I noticed that the wide-angle accessory creates a heavy distorsion in the "out of focus" areas of the Lensbaby double-optic. I'm curious as to why that is and if anyone is using this to good effect or essentially using the wide-angle with the sharp area mostly centered...

It's the nature of most Lensbaby optics to aberrate because they are just simple optics and the conversion lenses magnify it.
Try using a smaller aperture if it bothers you and yes part of the appeal to Bending has been to use the inherent distorsion to advantage......mastering the aRtform takes some real focus :) and good composition ...... |
