The extra insert that I received on how to use the Lensbabies with my Sony does not work with my camera. The instructions are for the 200, 300 & 350. The menu on my 700 is different, and I don't see anything about a shutter lock on any of the menu options.

Help please? Thank you!

Try going to Custom Menu 2 (Custom is the one with the little gear/sprocket symbol).

The very last item listed there is "Release w/oLens".

Set that to "Enable".

You should then be able to shoot in either Aperture Priority or Manual Mode.

The key is telling the camera that it's ok to fire the shutter even though it doesn't detect a lens (it won't detect/get any info from a Lensbaby).

Hope this helps and welcome to the forum.

My best results with the A700 have been from using Shutter Mode.
f/2 at 1/500 to 1/1000 ISO 100.
Any slower and everything is blown out.

can you explain it in a better way? I have no problem at all with the Lensbaby on my Sony/Minolta cameras (A mode isn't always perfect, but I don't blown out my pics...
