The first two are 1:a pile of logs, the second the remains of a cut down tree.
Thanks for your feedback!

Superthor,

I like the dahlia in the last photo but the photo of the dog is my favorite of this series. I am a dog person and always enjoy the seeing the animals's character and personality in shots like this. On my monitor the green is a bit distracting to the subject and I would probably see if I could work this up where the background was color masked into black and white or at least desaturated some. Does this guy belong to you? He looks like a very good companion... lots of stories on that face!

Hi Superthor,
I really like the photo of the dog, it's my favorite! Such friendly expression, and taken at the good angle! For me personally the red/pink color in the image #4 seems to be overpowering, but this is just my opinion. I always have a hard time accepting photos with the red color. As for #1, even though I'm not a big fun of forests (I prefer rocky mountains), I like this one. I wonder what it would look like if focused to the right - the edges of the logs. But I like the sharp focus on the logs. I also like the last image - I'd probably try this one with a macro, but to be honest I haven't used macro enough yet, so I'm not sure what the effect would be. I would definitely try to take a close up shot of those... overall, very calming combination.
