Here in the south Chicago suburbs we had out first substantial snow of the year. Maybe about 1/2-1 inch on the ground. It isn't technically the first snow though. It snowed a once or twice before this week but everything melted as it hit the ground. It was just a few little flakes.

By the time I gout outside in my yard to do some photos, the snow was already melting & the sun was already starting to go down just before 4pm. It's about 4:50 pm as I type this & it's already almost pitch black outside. I used my Double Glass Muse on my CANON 30D. In most of these photos I was trying to push the tip of the lens away from my to get a macro effect. That can me pretty difficult when it is below freezing & you don't have gloves on.

Every one, Please let me know what you think?

6 is afraid of 7 because 7 ate 9. The police took 8 & 10 into custody under suspicion. They figured it must have been 8 or 10 because they were right next to 9 when it happened. The police told 8 & 10 how they found 9's remains half eaten in an ally...

Justin,

The last image is my favorite in this series. I am in the Chicago suburb -- you will surely have lots more chances to get some more snow images.

The composition on most of these seem like they are stuck in the middle. I think either getting closer or moving farther out would work better.

I think doing macro of the snow with a lensbaby is really asking for a lot. You are not going to get the detail out of the snow and it looks more like white blobs than anything else.

I agree with Rich. The last one works the best for me, because the shot is about the tree moreso than the snow. The snow is an added touch there and I think that is how you approach lensbaby shots with the snow.

Justin,
I think u r being too sensitive. It looks like constructive comments.
For my part I love #1 and #6! Love the compositions & the blurry effect works well. Maybe u just have 2 keep playing more with ur Baby...even maybe snow pix in B&W works well.

The bottom line is as long as they please u, who cares about what others might think. Keep looking " what's on offer here in the forum, many different styles. U should find something that inspires u.
:-)

In that post Ran D. had a great idea for a new online game. Check it out.
