this is precious... very nice portrait... like the mono treatment... i generally avoid putting my subject in the middle -- a habit i've acquired following the rule of 3rd -- so I would have probably cropped it -- for instance, the thumbnail framming would have been perfect

i actually like the dark (negative) space that surrounds the subject. (what a cutie!)
