These are from our holiday in the Quercy region of France. they show the sculptor Vincent Kesselring carving a bust of the French intellectual and author Michel de Montaingne. Vincent specialises in making his art in public and this is in a courtyard in the town of Sarlat. This appealed on several levels not least as one of his quotes seems to fit most of the members of forum, namely "Obsession is the wellspring of genius and madness."
