Lensbaby

Decided to mount my lensbaby and go manual to shoot the Sinulog Festival in Cebu City, Philippines. What do you think of the results?

What fantastic colors. Love the sweet spot on the last one near the left edge, especially.

Wow what beautiful images. Such colours and I think the Lensbaby definitely adds to the overall beauty of your shots. A set to be proud of indeed. WIsh I'd taken them :-)

Thanks for the kinds words, guys. I never thought the lensbaby would be a good festival lens since its so hard to track the focus of moving dancers. Found out its quite doable with the f5.6 aperture disc already. Where I move the focus to one side though, I don't try to get the focus spot at the extreme side of the frame, but just do a little cropping after.

Thanks guys. It really was tricky shooting moving dancers with the lensbaby, but when you get it right, the results are really nice. Here are several more images from the festival

and here's one of my favorite captures from that day. Every now and then someone from the crowd joins in on the fun, and to me it just shows the fun and spirit of the event

Thanks again, guys. I never thought that a lensbaby would be useful in an event like this, but although I was carrying several lenses with me that day, I found myself always going back to the lensbaby for more blur

@evanlevine - Thanks, some were shot using the f8 disc. I tried to make it easier on myself.

And here's a couple more. These are fairly heavily cropped because I had to shoot these from the sidelines. The contingent had some pretty strict marshalls preventing photogs from getting near. The distance gave these a slight change in the visual effect
