Hi Scott
Nice image. Have been meaning to get up to Ft.Stevens to shoot. Used to work out of Astoria and have been there, but was not involved with photography at the time. Kurt

Scott,

Nice use of HDR to brighten up those shadow zones.

Nice shot, interesting effect. Scott, if you are a nikon user, have U ever played with a Fuji S5?Very interesting camera, would be ideal for this technique.tony

Tony I am a Canon user and this was processed through the new Nik HDR efex software. What does the Fuji S5 camera do?

Close to 13 stops in the raw. 2 sets of pixels.1 large - 1 small. Small ones have 3-4 extra stops on the highlights, means U can over expose the Blacks by 2-3 stops & still reclaim highlight detail in raw. Google Fuji Super ccd. Only a 6mp camera but what a trick. And Fuji color. The files are Lge - like 25meg of putty. tony
