I made a square aperture and it's a lot of fun. It makes backgrounds very fun. It's a little hard to focus with. You can see the shape in a couple of these. a bigger square in the middle and littler ones all around it. I like the halo it leaves around edges...

Nice series! I love the flying fish. Also, that's a neat portrait of your cat, a cross between being disturbed and being the predator. i like the effect of the square aperture.

These are wonderful, and good idea on trying out a square on your aperture disk.

I like the square! it's more subtle and adds a nice texture where something otherwise would appear flat/smooth. Been playing around with the star which is not subtle and your photos definitely inspire me to make my own apertures soon!

interesting experimentation -I like the softness it brings to the images where the square is not so apparent.
