I have had some friends staying, friends who shoot models....I provided my studio, and new lights, and they produced these amazing models! This young lady was made up by another friend....shot with lensbaby composer, double glass optic, f/4, 1/200 (as fast as I could go with my camera) ISO 100

These are straight from the camera, not sure if I want to ramp up the contrast or not, what does everyone think?

Wow Mel - very, very nice. My fav would be # 3. I think I quite like them as is. (Although - as I take splinters out - what would they look like in B&W?) :))

Neat! I miss working with models sometimes. I'm not sure I would like them in b/w. But, I think they'd look awesome with a bit more punch to the blacks--not necessary more contrast, as I like the desaturated look of the skin tones and how she kind of fades into the background as it is, but just some more black for the makeup would be striking.

like the blown-up... an unlikely combination of hi-key, softness and gothic... clever

Very nice portraits, Mel. I think I agree with Emma - I also like the desaturated look, but would like a little more black near the eyes, in the make-up, etc.

Nice portrait work - perhaps a little more contrast in my opinion.
