Still fighting off a cold so stuck to shooting Crocus flowers in the garden.Hand held under heavy grey skies, using stacked macros,and a reflector.To lazy to get out the tripod!!Some what pleased with the results.Next time I'll drag out the tripod and see what happens.

You do flowers so beautifully. :) Love the yellows. Would it benefit from some sharpening, or is that considered cheating ? :) Anyway, really like your work.

Wow. Spring must be on the way in Vancouver if there are crocuses blooming! And the Winter Olympics are just staring. Nice macros.

These are beautiful. Not that I'm surprised! The other floral images I've seen of yours are amazing. I can't even say I have a favorite, I like all of them. I love the way the center of the crocus appears to be "hovering" over the bloom in #2...wow.

PS - I remember visiting the Buchart Gardens near Victoria one spring (years ago). I wasn't into flower photography at the time, unfortunately!

Thank you all for the lovely comments.Rich, Spring has been here for a few weeks now.My tulips are just about to open, as well as the daffodils.My neighbors garden has her rhododendrons in bloom.Who's big idea was it to host a winter Olympics in a rain forest!!!!At least Whistler has tons of snow and the other events are inside.Anyway what can you do but photograph the flowers as they bloom.Cheers

Thanks Tony ,I knew someone would give me a kick in the butt for that one. I shot these mostly as test shots,I just was not feeling it that day.Anyway that's my story and I'm sticking to it.And FYI for those of you out there use a tripod when you have a cold, It's very difficult to hold your camera steady when your sneezing non stop ;)

Lorna, I love the focus effect in the second one. The blur is so interesting. The orange hovers over that lush purple.
