Lensbaby

Tim shot a pic through a rain splattered windshield with very beautiful results. Today it rained and I thought I'd try the same technique. My results weren't as impressive as Tim's, but it is a technique worth pursuing. I like the unpredictable nature of the shots, which is in keeping with the nature of LensBaby. These were shot on Main Street in Daytona Beach. Both pics were with the plastic optic/Composer shot at f/4.0.

I'm going to buck the trend and go with #1. It has a 'story' with the obscured figure crossing the wet road and the implication that it is still raining heavily. It shouts dreary at me :)

I have tried this also but with no good results so far but I do love the abstract effect. Really like the second in this series.

both cool but for me #1......

Very nice - gives the images a painterly effect. I'd also have to go with image #1 although I think both are interesting. I saw another image taken through a car wash...I guess I know what I'm doing once the weather allows!

Glad my misfortune inspired you!! I love both images. I think #1 is my favorite! Excellent capture. The colors and mood are what makes these shots keepers(as I found out in my snapshot).
