A good friend of my wife's "commissioned" me to take some pictures of Black-eyed Susans, in memory of her father who loved to grow them. She picked these two Lensbaby images (in order of preference) from the collection of about 20 Lensbaby and non-Lensbaby images that I captured. She said that she really preferred the dreamy, modern feel of the two that she picked (not knowing at the time that they were Lensbabies). :)

Thanks for looking. Comments welcomed! Have a nice day.

the colors are very rich and they are all very beautiful...i don't have a second lens yet, and it's been a toss up between a plastic or a pinhole but these are inspiring me to get the plastic lens instead, thanks for posting Rich.
cheers,
maria

Beautiful images Rich. I love them both, but I always see them blowing with a summer breeze, so I think the second is my favorite too.

Rich,
These are very, VERY nice. These gave me reason to again try the plastic with botanicals. I kind of like the first pic better, because I think it has better tones and the spacing I like between the flowers. I do love the movement in #2 though. Was it windy or slow shutter speed on #2?

Charles,
Thanks for you comments and question. I was using a 0.9 Neutral Density filter on #2 to bump up the exposure time to 0.8 sec. Then I purposely moved the camera some while the shutter was open.
Thanks again,
Rich

While both images are nice, I pefer the first one.
I'm not ashamed to admit that I didn't even know what a Black-eyed Susan was.
Very nice, Rich.
You're inspiring me to start photographing flowers!
Mike :)
Lensbabies make you think.

Thanks much Tony and Mike.
Mike -- I've learned a lot of flower names since I started imaging them. If you start photographing flowers, I am confident that you will enjoy it.
