Off of Newport Beach,Ca last weekend.

Nice shots, I live in the Newport Beach as well, tough life here isn't it. Do you know about the Beer Can Regatta races on Thursday nights in the bay? They start at 6 off Balboa Island, all size yachts, biggest go first, go up the harbor between Balboa Island and the Pavilion, start a little further down and go up to I think around the turning basin and then back again, maybe uop as far as Sea Scout Base, not sure, I always watch from the public pier on the island or from the pavilion acxross the bay.

All great, but I love the focus on the sailor in #1--awesome shot!

All are quite nice, but I am with Crabby on #1 -- love the composition.

Were you using the wide angle attachment on these?

Thanks for the feedback. Yes these were all shot with a 3G with the 0.6x wide attachment. Platscha I'll have to check out the regatta on Thursdays. I have a few buddies who are avid sailboaters. I'm going to try to get out with them a bit more frequently. We had a great time last week with the big swells.

you were sailing and I was shooting the crazy surf at the wedge. Nice shots.
