Spotted this tree flowering in the garden. Another Rain forrest Proteacea , relative of the Macadmia Nut. Grows in Nth Queenslands wettest rainforrest , struggles in my dry-ish sub tropical backyard. Any way has an unusual flower, can be upto about 18 inches long, mine are about 9 . Oh well. Flower in the foreground is how it looks before the flowers unfurl.
