2 HDR's from Philly posted by chefdave December 05, 2008 11:30AM reply | quote

Did some walking around Philly today and came up with a couple of new HDR's with my composer.

First one was a mural taken with f/16 aperture disk

Second one was of City hall with f/11 disk

Both are 3 images merged with photomatix.

Dave,

I really like the second image -- nice use of HDR here.

I forgot how nice of a city Philly is. Haven't spent nearly enough time there. Number 2 get my vote as well. Would you think of using a wider app, to get a bit more blur? I have been trying it LBHDR with not the best results so far, hence the nonposting of them

Hi David,

I would not think that photographing a painting would be great subject matter for HDR but this really pops.

The second is a good city scape, I like the symmetry here. It is a pretty image.

Double glass on both images?

Have a beautiful day.

I didn't know how it was going to turn out cause the mural was not really in the sun. But I was out there shooting HDR's and figured what the heck. I got to the hotel put it together with photomatix and played a little in lightroom and it came out pretty cool. Except the electrical line running through the middle of it. I started to take that out. That is a slow process.

I have one more of City Hall I need to do a little more work on But it should come out pretty cool.

Yes on the double glass. I'm gonna have to get around to order the rest of the optics...
