Would a split prism focus screen work with the lensbaby? I often have a hard time seeing if I've got my sweet spot in focus.

Yes, it will work. I recently used my old Nikon N2000 (which has a split image screen) with my Composer lens and it was easier to get the sweet spot in focus than with my Nikon DSLRs. My picture titled "Horse Racing" in the Show and Tell category was shot with the N2000.

Thank you Darrell for responding. I think then that I'll buy the focus screen. I'd really like to do a better job of getting the sweet spot in focus. Thanks again!

Only problem you may encounter is that your Lensbaby will have to be totally flat, no tilt, to get the sweet spot in the same place as the split image focusing area.
I am a fan of nothing at all on my focus screen and I wish I could get all of the lines on my screen to go away too, although this puts me in a position to not have any help with my aging vision. Craig brings up a good point. If you bend the lens very far left, right, up or down, the split image will not help. I still find it easier to use if you are shooting almost straight on.

Good to know about how it works with the lens bent. Thanks :-)
