Bad times make good stories. However, bad conditions don't necessarily make good pictures. Tropical storm Fay is moving up the coast very slowly and Flagler Beach is at the northern edge, so we have lots more hostile weather heading our way. This morning I attempted to get some shots, but it was difficult. 40-50 mph sustained winds, rain coming in sideways, and lots of salt spray make it difficult to get acceptable pics, and shooting with the LB doesn't make it easier. Between downpours I got what I could. Next, cleaning all the salt off the lenses and equipment in preparation for the next outing.

Jack,

Wow! That is very nice of you to take these shots -- but don't ruin your equipment doing so. Sounds like Fay may linger some.

I'm guessing that pier will need a little repair work when it's all said and done.

Stay safe, looks like you'll have the nasty weather around for quite a while. We just had a trailing band come through a couple of hours ago, I sure wasn't expecting to still have lousy weather down here.

Cool pics BTW, I like the grayness of #2.

Jack,

Sorry for the bad weather, but it produces some lively pictures. Love #2

Thanks Rich,Glen, and TokenGirl,
The storm is at a virtual standstill, dropping almost 2 feet of water to the south (Cocoa Beach area) and more still falling. The eye is predicted to pass over me just before sunrise tomorrow morning and I plan to be back at the beach during that calm. Hopefully the timing will be good for pics. Then the heavy rain on the south side of the storm reaches me. Maybe the storm will gain some speed and move away quickly. Like TokenGirl I'm getting really bored with all this inside time, but I am catching up on my reading.

Jack,
Great stuff, I will come clean your lenses if you will send all of the rain to Atlanta for a week or so....

Thanks David,
I was just talking to friends earlier about how much the rain is needed in north Georgia. Lake Lanier could use a couple of wet spells like we're having down here.
