While I love my lens baby, I find it rather annoying that it won't meter on my D100. For static objects I use a handheld meter, or the sunny 16 rule, with histogram adjustment, but it's nearly impossible to use it for quick shots where "the moment" is important.
would it be possible to build a "D" chip in/on the Lens baby? Maybe a future version, or a custom upgrade?

We're on it for a future version. The chips that I have experimented with will not fit into the current design but I am looking into solutions both current and future.
