Playing with WA and macro

Opened the box with the Raynox converters and LB macro adaptors and looked for immediate fun shots.

I chose a 'tasting' wine glass with etching on it so I could see how 'focused' I could get (at least to start off with). I like the Raynox--wouldn't mind wider, but this one seems to actually make it easier for me to focus--whether its the small bit of weight on the end of the lens, not sure. Also added macro to WA for last.

Then I tried some with lights, flash on cam--and found quite interesting results. The one with the star is strange--partially a result of the flash reflections on the faceting on the silver star, but also how the LB affected it.

The last, the nativity was shot available light with very high ISO, but the WA works nicely for me--and I just need to practice focusing. Didn't do much with macros yet, but they will def. be something fun to play with over the next weeks.

Glad I bought the WA/tele combo plus the macro. I think this will extend my use of the lens quite a bit. Thanks Craig for your suggestions.

Cool, looks like you're all dialed in with the converters, I still need to get some ordered. I like the star with the flash and all the "exploding" lights around the edges, have to love the stretched lights!! Thanks for sharing!!

I used the f/2.8a and 4.0 aperture (the new LB), Raynox WA converter. First shots after opening the box. Now--I'm looking for opportunities to use the lens/converter. I tend to carry a set of fast primes for most shooting, so have added the LB/converters to the bag in case I see some opportunities where I think it would be better shot with the LB than another lens.

Nice light effects on the Christmas tree on the second shot!

I love them all -- especially the sparkling wine glasses and the curvy iron work on the chair. The colors are really clear and pretty too!
