I like this image form its simplicity and the fact that it is something to contemplate by.
A good minimalist image, an example of "less is more." Some people, sadly, are limited by their inability to understand that, and in some cases are even unable to think of photography as anything other than a means of faithfully recording what's in front of them.

The whole fence and barbed wire sets all of the feeling before you even pull the trigger. The curled up wire is the whole shot and everything else just backs it up. Composition is what makes it work!. The broken wire isn't supposed to be there! The distraction becomes the subject on purpose! The top wire would have been "freedom" but the middle wire says "chance of freedom". It's better.
