An amateur professional photographer for years, I hopefully soon will be adding a Lensbaby to my bag. Question is...which one?? I really like the Composer, but have heard the posts routinely show in the edges. I shoot mostly wildlife and scenics. Can you suggest a model choice? I'm leaning toward the Control Freak , but also like the Composer Pro. Using the Control Freak, I've heard that the posts routinely show. What can one do over the other?

Guess the Composer Pro suits your need better. For the Control Freak, you need to turn those 'posts' to lock the lens into position and that will be slow things down a bit if you are talking about shooting wildlife. The Composer Pro plus the Edge 80 & Sweet 35 will be an ideal combo.

The Composer Pro is a really nice tool. Paired with double glass optic it is one of my favorite lenses when I'm shooting Canon EOS cameras. If you like fisheyes the Scout with FE is also fabulous and a very affordable deal for a high quality FE lens option.

Even after reading up on it, and looking at examples, I still don't get the purpose of the double-glass.

I find that the double glass gives better/sharper result at the sweet spot. I'll go for the single glass one for dreamier result when necessary.
