Hello there.
I´m a student shooting a music video in two weeks and really want to try out Lensbaby lenses and accessories, but I have no experience with it whatsoever, so I thought this forum would be the best place to go for answers to my questions. My previous work has usually been done with Zeiss lenses under strict lighting control.
I had envisioned a specific look in my mind while thinking of the mood and look of the video, but didn´t really know what equipment to use to achieve that look.. Until I found some pictures and videos taken with lensbaby lenses and accessories.
My questions are:
What would you guys who have used Lensbaby suggest as a good package for use in video (lenses, optics, accessories)? I´m looking for equipment both for extreme close-ups (even macro) and for extreme long shots. One specific shot is a shot in a desert with a subject very far away. I want to achieve a starting point in which "everything" is in focus, then slowly pinpointing a specific focus point in the far distance. I hope this was explained good enough.
How much practice is needed with this equipment?
