Took a walk for the first time with the Soft Focus optic this eve, the setting sun was just enough to touch this isolated, what "was" a tree once...
D200, Muse with Soft Focus with standard f2.8 insert. Thank you for looking!

Beautifully lit and eerie. I'm wondering if you live in New England--after the freak nor'easter we had here Connecticut, so many of our trees look like that.

Nice use of SF, D. I must admit I am struggling with this optic . All my LBs are Muse types, I just love the idea of a lens being on the end of a vacuum cleaner hose. SF optic needs a little more precision I feel. Happy New Year. tony

Hi Tony!
Thank you and a Very Happy New Year!!! I know exactly what you mean on this SF optic. I actually did 3 takes on this stump, all 3 looked a little different in therms of how the light showered the stump and the bare branches, so I do believe it is a better fit for composer for as you said "more precision feel". But the idea of having soft feel across the frame(and different "soft" from an ordinary "soft screw on filter") just made me want to have this one for quite sometime. Now, I need to get out and start using it more often. Happy New Year to all! Very best wishes! Regards, D |
