Nice! My favorite subject, abandoned buildings. I really like the gritty detail you captured, particularly in the 2nd and third shots. The star is pretty neat too!

Great series Lorna, I really like the it-did you use any kind of filter to get that green color?

Thanks for the comments, Jorgen the elevator was already this colour just a little washed out so I bumped the blacks and vibrancy a little.

Lorna when I read the tittle I immediately thought of "Eric the half a bee", but these look more like they were done by the Green Hornet :) I like the 1st & last ones best. I like the colour.tony

Lorna,

I like how collectivley your images provide a story. The star gives us a feel for what the owners were about, and how the community likely enjoyed seeing that star during the Holidays.

Thanks guys, Rich those were exactly my thoughts as I was shooting this elevator as to what it would have looked like in it's hay day as it were ,all decked out for the local holidays and festivals and how now this little community is a fallen star struggling to hang on .

These are really interesting. I have a fondness for old buildings as well - they do hold so many stories. nice work.

#2's a Solid Fave for me! Lovely atmosphere. Speaks volumes about the lonely prairie.
