Lensbaby

Since I got the softfocus some time ago, I have really struggled to find out how to use it. Not technically, off course, but what kind of subjects do demand the softfocus. I have decided to find out.

Here are some of today's iterations made with the .42x converter and one of the special apertures.

It's quuite easy to make softfocus images "for fun", but what about more "serious" ones, like commercial portraiture and weddings?

To be honest I haven't seen much of that type of photography with the softfocus. Please enlighten me.

Bjorn,I really like the soft focus lens and I use it commercial also .....most of the clients like the effect very much

A great thread started here. I have been on the fence about getting this lens , not sure how I would use it also.I am looking forward to the feed back. Oliver I Love the soft light and glow it lends to your model, It has me thinking!

Thank you Ollie and Lorna. I knew that you would like the soft focus Ollie. We have discussed this type of topic before. I see what you mean, but I have never experienced any clients ask for those "soft images", probably because I haven't done it much:(

my favorite images shot with the soft focus have been (surprise) flowers and actually a couple of people - happy mistakes perhaps...

and now maybe you guys can help me. for some reason i can only upload one image. :(
