        <description> Thought I had posted this here last week...

This is a monarch caterpillar just out of the egg. Its first meal is the egg casing itself, then it immediately starts in on milkweed. You can see he's had quite a snack already.

The second pic was taken a year or two ago, but is also a hatchling. That's a piece of uncooked elbow macaroni for reference. 

Both were taken with dgo and macro kit. The first also employs both macro converters.
