first time with my news lensbaby creative kit

so...i think i was using the double glass optic on this, but can't remember exactly now. the second one i call "goin into the rabbit hole" ...was out at my grandparents farm and shot these. this is difficult, but in a good way. any comments welcome - from how to get a better shot to how the heck did i make my rabbit hole so cool/warped looking??!!

and...my problem...not sure i get the whole filters thing yet. i tried using them in some other shots and got nothing...no stars, hearts, squiggly...nada...

but am loving this!

You need to have specular lights placed at a distance behind the focused subject. Just try defocusing an point your lens at random objects etc. to get a feel for what will give you the fun bokeh.

Nice effects with the double glass.
Like the first two pics most.
I guess you mean creative aperture.
Works best with lights in the background, like streetlights for example.
A few days ago, i made a picture of sunset, not realizing the creative aperture disc was on my soft focus optic..
That resulted in the sun with a ring of 'little suns' around it...
