Hi All,

I'm new to this forum, although I've been a fan of the lensbaby for a couple of years now.

I changed my optic whilst on a shoot the other day and perhaps didn't pay enough attention to what I was doing - the optic I added is now stuck!

After searching the archive on here I see this is likely to my inserting the optic incorrectly - and that there is a file that might be useful to me releasing the optic.

I'd be grateful if anyone could advise...

Regards,

I recently found three sets of Composer Focus Fronts, the Tilt parts were missing that adapt them to 4/3rds camera bodies, but no problem as I adapted them to my Nikon bodies by using extension tube kits.

Since they came with a Double glass element and a Macro lens
I hacked the DG element off on my lathe so I could use the macro element as the prime lens screwed into the hacked DG focus tube. See the illustration of parts photo.

I'm having fun making creative apertures to snap specular highlight abstract aRt, besides the macro botanical studies of Spring weeds :) .

I was able to get these Focus Front at a great price, but the ebay vendor decided to raise his price after I purchased so many ....but they are still a fabulous tool so if you want one check them out before they disappear off ebay .

NO...I'm not selling "any" of the three I purchased...the ebay vendor
lists them one at a time, so you have to watch and bid accordingly ....I'm just letting you know these discontinued parts exist and they are so KooL !

Finally, I got my Composer Pro with Double Glass and Fisheye. But I have a question. I took te Fisheye from its casing and I heard some glass moving around. Not like it was broken with splinters and cracks, no, glas grinding against metal. I think the glas isnt glued or stuck in the optic. Am I right? This morning I returned to the shop where I bought the optic and the seller took his fisheye from his camera, and the one from the display and both had the sound from moving glass when you shook them. Not as loud as mine, but still moving glass. Is this normal??

And Ive seen the G+ Hangout. Stupid background, very nice questions and even better answers. And both told us in the Hangout is that you get what you ask, basicly. So, I want to ask something:

- Can I please have some sort of markin on the ball of the Composer Pro so I can see when its in the fully straight forward posistion??
- Would it be possible to make one standard cap that can fitt all the optics?
- Would it be possible to get a cap that fits the back side of the optic, the part that goes in to the body?

Love to hear from you!

Eager to start taking photos with my new edge 80 optic i might have inserted it incorrectly, or not completely, thus now i can't get it out of the composer.
Hi some advice please. I am thinking about buying a lensbaby to use for architectural photography to get some different effects and would appraise some advice please.

I am wondering what effect using the double glass to focus high up on a spot on a building would have as far as adding or removing keystone effect?

I know it can be removed in PS so it is not a issue ,just a question prior to purchase.

The other option that might be interesting I think would be the edge 80 , if I rotate to get the edge line to run vertically up the frame? How bad a keystone effect would that cause?

One would get many comments almost immediately after posting images and there would be many new posts from users every day. What happened? Now a post can sit for days with no activity. I'll admit I have been posting much less in the last year but I still love my lensbaby just as much as I always have. Maybe I do use it less frequently but I have found what I like to shoot the most with it and that is flowers and they only happen in spring. I'd love to read what others think.

Hello,

Im ready to get some babys. Hell yes I am. In two weeks ill reach the "yes I got the money" point and will go to the local store. And Im pretty sure about what to get. I was thinking about the Composer Pro, the double glass and fishey optic. But I was wondering, how does one put the composer pro in the perfect straigh position for the fishey optic? Is it just by eye or is there a clever way to do it?

And if there is no clever way, how about some lining on the ball, so you can see if the composer pro is completely straight?

Best,

I just bought my first Lensbaby... and decided to go with the kit because it was the most versatile! I have been reading up on the Composer and the Scout and see that the Scout is best for fisheye but in the kit, it doesn't come with that optic. When I read about the fisheye optic it talks about the Composer and Control Freak and the need for an adapter on the Muse but absolutely nothing about the Scout......

Can I bought the optic and have it work with the Scout???

Doing just what they said- good light, F5, focus in center, move then re-focus. Any advice from experienced users would be GREATLY appreciated.
