Sweet 35 ... 'loose' aperture ring?

Hi all,
I just picked up a Sweet 35 optic from a camera store clearing out Lensbaby lenses, optics and such. With a 30% savings I just couldn't resist. Now I'm not so sure about the purchase.

So I bought this earlier in the afternoon but only just opened the box and took the optic out of the plastic case. Playing with it I notice that the aperture ring is 'loose'. That is to say that it is not stuck but seems to wiggle easily when manipulating it. I can feel that there are indents in the ring to 'lock in' at the various apertures but this is not pronounced.

Is this ring not supposed to be somewhat tighter? Has anyone else experienced this? I'm hoping that this is actually a common thing and is to be expected. I really don't want this to become a warranty thing. Like I said the store was selling out their Lensbaby stock and so probably don't want to have to deal with any warranty issues.

Issue resolved by exchanging the loose lens with another that was somewhat tighter...better but not as tight as the Edge 80. I'm thinking that the 80 which has a similar construct as the 35 was reengineered to 'fix' this. At least now I've got a working 35. <end thread>

A bit more clarification...the ring does turn but if you grip the body in one hand and the ring in the other you can 'bend' it back and forth a bit (not forcefully) Plus you can push/pull the ring into the body somewhat. That kind of loose is what I'm talking about.
