Setting Your Camera's Diopter

A diopter is a setting on your camera body that adjusts the image in the viewfinder to match your eyesight. It is important to set your diopter prior to using a Lensbaby, because you use your eyesight to focus a Lensbaby rather than the camera's auto focus.

You can find the diopter to the right of your viewfinder; it is usually a small dial or sliding button.

To set your diopter, point your lens toward a blank wall (don't worry about focusing on the wall) and then rotate the dial or slide the button until the lines in your viewfinder become sharp with the least amount of eyestrain.
